Frequently Asked Questions
How long is a portrait session?
Most family sessions last 1 - 1 ½ hours. If it’s an extended family shoot, we will schedule 1 ½ - 2 hours, so that we are not rushed.
We have different options for Seniors:
> The Standard Experience which is 1 - 1 ½ hour shoot;
> The Basic Experience package which is ½ - 1 hour; which is a great (compromise) option if your senior isn’t really wanting to do photos - quick and painless; and
> The Ultimate Experience for Seniors who really want to showcase who they are which is 2 - 3 hours.
We occasionally offer themed mini-shoots which are usually 20 - 30 minutes long. If we have one planned, you can find the information here.
What does the session fee cover?
All Session Fees (except the Mini Sessions) include:
The Pre-Portrait Consultation;
> Your Photoshoot;
> Entry into most shooting locations (if there is a fee);
> Time spent editing the pictures; and
> Your in-person Portrait Reveal and Order Session.
Do you have suggestions for photography locations?
I most certainly do! This will be covered in our pre-shoot consultation, but if you know what you are looking for, I probably have a place for it. And if you don’t know what you are looking for, we will figure it out together!
How far in advance do you book?
I am currently booking for October and November, but will book as far out as six months.
How many photos should I expect from my photo session ?
For regular sessions, there will be a minimum of 20 images, but there is not a limit.
The number of images from a mini-session is a minimum of 7.
Will I get to see all the images?
Unfortunately, no. I take a lot of pictures and then comb through them and select only the very best.
Can I bring my pets?
You most certainly can! In my opinion, our pets are family, and they are welcome to join in your family portraits!
What should I wear for my portrait session?
This is different for different types of clients. Families will want coordinating colors. Not necessarily the same color, but definitely choose colors that don’t clash. For seniors, I recommend at least two outfits - a dressier outfit and more casual outfit. And if you can make them layered, that makes it especially easy. However this will be discussed during our pre-shoot consultation.
Can I bring props?
Definitely! And this will be something to discuss in the pre-portrait consultation.
Can i schedule a photoshoot at the same time as a friend?
Absolutely! I offer Buddy Sessions. +++++++
Do you have appointments on the weekends?
Of course, but they are limited and book up very quickly, so contact me to see what I have available.
What if the weather is bad?
I am always watching the weather! If it looks like it is going to be bad, I will reschedule as early as possible. However, living in Oklahoma, you know weather is a tricky thing to predict, so a lot of tim.
Do you offer digital images?
Yes I do. Any image that+++++++
